Ulrepforte

Ulrepforte, the Southern part of the medieval city wall, was saved from demolition.

The »Ulner« (potters) lived close to the gate since, due to their work with open fire, they had to inhabit the edge of the city. Only one of the double towers remains; this was reconstructed into a windmill in the 15th century.

Today, it is home to a Carnival association.
