German Sports and Olympic Museum
One of Cologne's newest museums offers pure sport. The only national sports museum is made up of exhibitions on the social development of national, international and Olympic sports culture from classical antiquity to the present.

Opening |
The Olympic Games from 1936 to 1972 are vividly documented, and individual objects donated by famous sportsmen and women such as Boris Becker and Zapotek provide the visitor with interesting highlights. The collection pieces, which to date have been in storage, promise interesting rotating exhibitions. Colognes highest sports ground on the museum's roof, a café and museum shop round off a visit to the »German Sport and Olympic Museum«.
