MediaPark
One of the latest urban development projects in Cologne, the MediaPark, combins media production and training firms with cultural and entertainment facilities.
In 1987, the MediaPark was constructed on the 200,000 square meter area of the former Gereon goods station. Several centres for information, communication, and media technology were created, as were a park with lake, and a large cinema (Cinedom). The aim of the major project is to consolidate Cologne's location even further as a media metropolis.
