Cologne Cable Railway

For over 40 years, visitors have been experiencing the most beautiful views of Cologne from a bird's-eye perspective. The Rhine cable car is Cologne's safest form of transport, and since 1957 has allowed more than 14 million people to experience the fascination of Cologne from the air.

Around one kilometre long, high above the Rhine, Europe's first aerial cableway leads from the zoo to the Rheinpark. »Containing« four people, it is one thousand metres and - at a speed of ten kilometers per hour - six minutes from the left to the right bank of the Rhine (and vice versa). To date, in over forty years, more than 14 million guests have been able to marvel from there at the wonderful panorama of the city.
