Cologne Exhibition Centre, with the fourth largest exhibition facilities in the world and situated in an outstanding location overlooking Cologne Cathedral on the opposite bank of the Rhine, is an important driving force for the development of the business location Rhineland.

Koelnmesse events range from photokina, the leading global trade fair for photography and imaging, and gamescom, the largest trade fair and event highlight for interactive games and entertainment, to INTERMOT, the trade fair for motorcycles, scooters and bicycles, the leading global food fair Anuga, and the international furnishing fair imm cologne. These events strengthen the international markets and serve as business drivers for their respective sectors. About 25 business sectors meet here regularly to present their new products and trends at their leading global trade fairs on the world’s fifth-largest exhibition grounds. In addition to its well-established trade fairs, Koelnmesse is continually expanding its programme with innovative themes and formats. The highly flexible Koelnmesse exhibition centre offers a set of ideal conditions. With its 11 exhibition halls that form a single entity, it’s one of the most attractive exhibition venues in Europe, setting the standards in terms of presentation conditions and quality of stay. Koelnmesse’s central location directly across from Cologne Cathedral, as well as its ideal accessibility and excellent
infrastructure, further boost its outstanding status as a place to do good business. In order to publicize these unique advantages even more effectively, the city of Cologne and Koelnmesse have joined forces with many local and regional institutions to establish the initiative »Trade Fair City Cologne«. Its objective is to present Cologne as a trade fair metropolis at various major trade fairs and to welcome the sectors together.


With approximately 80 of its own trade fairs and exhibitions held in Cologne and abroad, Koelnmesse brings together supply and demand – specifically, the products and services of approximately 45,000 exhibiting companies from over 120 countries and the demand of more than 2.5 million visitors from almost 220 countries.
